History

From beginning to now.

Oh goodness, our little history. This site's history even preceeds it's grand opening...and even before I began working on it!

For those who don't know, I used to run Senshi Card-Mania!, which is hailed to be the very first recognized online TCG. (Well, when I opened there appeared to be no others! And afterwards, more came!) We were around for a good 2 and a half years, seeing the comings and goings of other great TCGs in that time. I never had the intention of closing, or at least for a long time.

But man, shitaki mushrooms happen.

Mainly my draining interest in the world of Sailor Moon. Don't get me wrong, I still love those lovely senshis, and remain an avid collector, but in the realm of the world, interest dwindled. Originally I was going to completely revamp the site...start afresh. New cards (for the third time) and everything! I still have the countless new cards that I made. However, I garnered a new idea. For a long time I've been into the Japanese music scene. I even joined what came to be one of my favorite TCGs ever, the now departed 8th Note, that dealt with J-pop PVs as well. (But mainly limited to six artists) I asked my friend Misty if I could play around with her card design (this was before the opening of Haiiro) and she said yes! ^_^ Thus, the About You set was born. I went crazy with making these card sets. And eventually I decided to abandon SCM indefinitely and pursue an entirely new approach to TCGs.

I began TCGs at the age of 14, and now, a good and solid six years later, this is what I have to put to my name. Two TCGs, and a whole lot of work.

Much later O! pulled a SCM and went on indefinite hiatus as I reopened SCM as SCMR. It was my intention to stick with it, and hopefully go back to O and bounce between two fully staffed TCGs, but waning interest and total frustration with the TCG caused me to effectively resign from SCMR. It's still "running" under new management, but now I want to just focus on O! and make it a low-key, steady update, no real frill TCGs that won't make me pull my hair out.
